I find him to be a kinda bad singer honestly. Kinda like Mayer Hawthorne. They have the cliche production down pretty well, but the end result feels contrived IMO

Phonte and the rest have more charisma and personality

I prefer his Emanon stuff

Ehh I don't know about that. I think Aloe got a little more soul than Phonte, but that's arguable and Phonte is the better rapper by a longshot.
