it's easy to have this attitude if ur living with your parents and have no responsibilities.

when u got kids and people that depend on you, u cannot adhere to this entitled mindset.

This nation started off saying "That amoung these (unalienable rights) are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" now ppl we got ppl saying Happiness is an entitlement:wow:

I would be mad but this mindset is on brand. The Declaration if Independence was cap the moment them cacs put feather to paper.:francis:

Bingo.

Also, money matters too.

Would a Gen Z bruh prefer to be unemployed or in a career where they make $200k/year but don't like the job?

It's easy to choose "unemployed" if we are comparing jobless versus working a customer service hourly gig with poor benefits. The parents thing is real too. If you have help at home or live at home...easy to be like "fukk it."

yep, im 38 and make ~$200K. got my own place in NYC, no kids, no debt, etc. my mentality now is different compared to where it was in my 20s. i'm not as hungry as before simply because i only work to live the lifestyle i currently have. perhaps not the wisest choice but i didn't know shyt when i was young. looking back, i think i would've done things differently. after a while, the corporate grind and the added stress becomes empty and numb.

if i had a family, i'd be more driven but being single, i can afford to lay back. i understand what these new gen kids are talking about when it comes to "happiness/unemployment" but it's a slippery slope and the grass ain't always greener on the other side. sooner or later, life will hit you hard and you have to earn a living like everyone else. it's a balancing act of being passionate but also practical in whatever career you choose. kudos to anyone that can find both.

And then they turn around and shyt on America. In some parts of the world if you don't work you rightly starve. At least in America there are mechanisms in place to ensure that less productive people can siphon off resources from those that actually work and contribute something to society.
The bible says by the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread. Any able bodied person that refuses to work and be productive should be left to starve.

Louis Rossmann explained it perfectly. Working is like a Mule chasing a carrot on a stick, if the goal looks close enough to achieve, it will pursue.

But if the stick holds to carrot too far away, the mule loses interest because it's clearly out of reach.

Many people are realizing they will never achieve their goals through conventional work paths, so they just say fukk it.

The biggest facts. The destruction of this nation was concealed within in its seed. Pure, unadulterated hypocrisy since its inception. All these folks thinking they gonna vote their way into some kind of change would have better luck plucking a peach off an apple tree.

Work takes up too much time to be miserable doing that shyt.
Im bout to spend at least 10 hrs of my day in horrible work place environments, doing a job that doesn't pay enough for the work I've already put in (college/previous experience), 0 to no chance of climbing the ladder.
Young folk realize it's all bullshyt and there's nothing that even resembles anything close to winning except for a very small %
Its too much info out there and corporate america can no longer control the narrative

no one wants to work. I don't want to work. but I dont' dislike or mind my job. every job could be better, but considering I can work at the crib, I have a lot of autonomy, and I'm not inundated by meetings and bullshyt, it's hard to complain to be honest.

lots of gen z people are entitled. they expect their first job to be their high paying dream job. that's an exception, not the norm. and while my job is pretty good now, I had to work a plethora of :trash: jobs before I found this one. young folks don't wanna go thru that struggle.
