That Jennings/Ortiz fight when exactly how I feared it would. Really don't think that strategy of taking the fight inside to Ortiz was a smart one. Ortiz may struggle a bit on the inside but that deficiency could only really be capitalized on by someone who hits a lot harder that Jennings does.
Hopefully he doesn't let this loss mess his head up and comes back strong. Dude deserves a easy touch in his next fight to get his comfort level back after the KO too. Crazy to think that Jennings has been fighting a steady better caliber of fighter than the hype job who is holding the Green belt.
Just finished Ortiz Jennings. Whoa. I expected Ortiz to win. But jennings is tough dude. And he was catching ortiz with those rights, but damn that uppercut was bodacious that sent Jennings down for the first time. Who's next for Ortiz? I know Deontay isnt jumping for that one.
How about Ortiz vs Anthony Joshua?
I don't see Eddie Hearn making that fight any time soon plus I don't think that is the type of fight Joshua should be looking for right now.
Dudes don't seem to realize that Joshua has only been a pro since October 2013.
He just took his first step up fight against Whyte but in boxing terms he is still a baby. Its not like he has spent 7 years fighting a steady string of bingo hall level fighters like some guys whose name I won't mention.
