I moved to DC in 2004, so i'm an OG implant. I'll say, DC is like the gold rush. Most Men moved there for the money. Family and Love was down the priority list. If a man marries a woman in DC, she's amazingly exceptionally in most cases. And/or she's from the DC burbs and just a good woman.
For a woman to leave her family network to move to DC says a lot. So she probably values her personal success more than her family network and family in general. So she probably doesn't value thing most men look for to marry.
Ive done a lot of dating in and around DC. Most of the wife types are implants from the islands or overseas. Or women from like Woodbridge, Waldorf that value have a good family circle. Any loner chick in DC is a red flag.
The official answer is both parties are career minded.
