Lol so the only reason to look nice everyday is for the attention of men? I like to look good for myself and look presentable for the public (all races and genders), period. Who wants to walk around looking a hot ass mess? Are people really this simple minded?

Even before I had a boyfriend (who does not live in my city), the town that I live in doesn't even have a datable population for my race and age. I mean that literally (it is a white college town, I know every single black graduate, and I am not interested in and am too old for the small black undergraduate population). No matter where I go in the town, I look my best. Anything less would be uncivilized.

I turned up in the exact same clothes and styles of make up that I wear in Indiana. Also, I didn't go to a club in Miami so I'm pretty sure I have a different definition of turn up than you. Finally, I'm not interested in Miami men either; I was there with my man.

Some of these men know us better than we know ourselves, apparently. Not saying some valid points weren't made, but for the most part, I think it's best to just let them have this one and think that everything we do is only for their approval.
