Dropout sounds so ass now, how is that a classic? the percussion :scust: all them bongos and claps

i can go with Late and Dark Fantasy, other 3 not close for me
Honestly, I haven't revisited College Dropout in a couple years.

I think that's the next album I'm gonna play and take it in again.

@SoulController those bongos on Slow Jamz are :ohlawd:

I prefer the version on Twista's album though

lol the bongos had their place, i like Poppin Tags and a couple others

there was good bongo and bad bongo in that 03-04 era, and it got overused. i never embraced the clap snares, it didnt sound great to me then but its bad now. especially when they are thin

Pusha T wasn't gonna let Kanye give him garbage or underwhelming stuff like he gave Cudi, Teyana, and Nas. And yea, Pablo, Yeezus, and ye were all dumpsters, and i only give 808s a pass cause his mom died and i 100% understood how that album came about.

Did you listen to the Teyana album? The production on that was amazing. One of the best albums of last year.

Rakim, KRS, NWA, cool j too short PE and so many more homie. 2010s ain't fukkin with any of that. :stopitslime:

Now I respect the 80's for laying down the foundation but ain't no one checking for most them nikkaz today. Most the nikkaz from the 90's are still relevant today.

Besides KRS got washed by an early 2000 nikka. Only nikkaz who have managed to keep it buck out the 80's is cube and LL

Kendrick
Drake
Cole
Big Sean
Cudi
Joey Badass
Krit

Can all hang with them nikkaz stop.

Most those dudes are relevant still. After 30 plus years yeah age comes for every one. Countless classics from that era, there's no way the last 10 years competes bruh. Not even close. You can enjoy this era more that's fair but in no way does it match the groundbreaking and relevant music of the 80s bruh.

90's were more ground breaking you had rappers that came with all different styles. Most the nikkaz in the 80' s were ABC rapping until NWA fukked shyt up.

Weither you want to like it or not the 2010's ushered in a new way on how to rap and the artist are more vulnerable then they were in the 80's. 808s and heartbreaks broke that ground.
