GGG v Lemieux wil;l do less but it will be success lol

Only thing I will say about that is Floyd's purse made it not be a success. He received 32 of the $36 million that was available for the M.E. and with the card costing so much, 500k isnt a success for Showtime. It puts them in the red again.

It's not a flop, just like @krackdagawd said, because nobody expected it to be a huge selling PPV and it still did more sells than Manny vs Chris Algieri. However, to your point, it's not a success if you're still end in the red....and Floyd's purses makes a 500k PPV buy non-successful PPV for Showtime.

GGG vs Lemieux can sell 150-300k and be successful due to the purses they are set to receive

Well sure, if you use it as one big pot and it does. However, on a PPV by PPV basis...Floyd vs Berto wasnt successful due to the large amount of money going out in the purses vs money coming in.

Since Floyd signed that deal with Showtime, the talk in the boxing media has always been that Floyd's PPV would have to reach 1 million buys each time out in order for Showtime to not be in the "red". Floyd accomplished that feat in 3 out of his 6 fights (Guerrero, Canelo, & Pacquiao). HOWEVER, if you put it all together and wanna talk about if they (Showtime & Floyd's deal) were successful overall? Yes. Floyd generated over 9 million in PPV buys when only 6 million was needed to break even. :whew:

He basically gave them a free 3+ million in PPV sells more then they expected without charging them:wow:

So, I say all that to say this: Floyd vs Berto PPV was not successful. Floyd's deal with Showtime exceeded expections by over +50% and was an EXCELLENT deal at the end of the day.

We dont call him Money Mayweather for nothing:yeshrug:

Boxing media is so trash shyt sold 500k and they calling it a flop :dead: Floyd did half a million with a guy who is only know by casuals for getting his wig split :francis:
again
this goes back to be reaching for straws to give mayweather any kind of L
The work was done off the the canelo fight and the pacquaio fight
the 2t highest grossing ppvs of ALL Time
those fights alone were worth the deal and the exposure
so was floyd's first fight out of prison which hit a milly when no one knew who guerreo was

even the two maidana fights out sold any other boxing or ufc ppv for that entire year
hes pretty much compeiting with himself

considering the poor promotion, the opponent, and no one thinking berto had a real chance, his numbers ain;t bad at all:yeshrug:

i really hope canelo and cotto can do more
mayb even crack a milly
we shall see
