It’s really disappointing the two homegrown guys couldn’t come through and looked overmatched, I’m not even asking for some monumental home run blast, taking a simple walk would have been just as good.

With Ohtani injury and Buehler followed by bullpen game for LA coming up, there is definitely a viable road to get back in the series but the way we’re hitting and managing it looks like we’re done.

Between judge, wells, Volpe, Rizzo, and Verdugo the majority of the lineup can’t be trusted at all. Jazz too. Soto and Stanton are the only hitters it trust right now.

Boone manages like someone's gonna tell him "you DO know you're allowed to do this right?" and he's gonna go :ohhh:

and then STILL not do it?
This one is on the offense. Went 7 straight innings without getting a man on second base. Not gonna win many games where they get just 1 hit through the first 8 innings.

of course.

but man, if Boone wants to get cute with a good pitching staff, why does he refuse to switch shyt up when the team is struggling?

Anyone that says they're not gonna side-eye Judge when he goes 3-4 with 2 HRs against the Pirates on a random Tuesday night in May is a liar.

This is his legacy from here on out, I don't give a fukk if it's unfair.
Captain Boombox been on my side-eye list for years.

If Soto leaves, the Yankees whether they like it or not have to move forward no longer needing to worry about Judge's (and Cole's) timeline. If they're around when Dominguez, Arias, maybe Jones, Hampton, hopefully Murakami, whoever else develop here, cool, but everything going forward needs to be done to cater to the future because the present failed.

It's not unfair at all.

Since 2020 in the playoffs he's 16-110 with 45 K's. That's a big ass sample size showing how much he chokes in October.

Looks even worse when Soto and Stanton are carrying the team while he looks lost swinging at bullshyt way out off the plate.

He makes Nick Swisher look like David Ortiz

At this point he’s at a .199 playoff batting average with 85 strikeouts in 55 games. Swisher was a .160 lifetime playoff hitter though.
