lol. no one state can secede under any circumstance. and if they do against the order of the government, u can expect a military strike. at states just breaking away off of votes. sh1t, that woulda happened ages ago.

1. The federal government does not own any state.
2. States have rights.

Besides you would have mutinies all over within the military. Imagine this scenario: What would a general stationed in North Carolina under the federal government orders feel about attacking TX (where he is from and has all his family lives) and by the way his son is stationed on a military base in TX. You 'd have to be mindful of that too.

They would be embargoed by other countries across the world with the quickness. It would be financial death. No country that is in the UN would do business with them. And the countries that did would price their exports high and only accept their imports at a substandard rate.

Their only resort would be the countries that the republicans don't really fukk with: China and the likes. And China would bytch them as well because the seceding countries would be in too big of a financial strait for them not to be taken advantage of.

If I'm not mistaking, most of those red state live off federal funds. They'd be fukked.

I mean you cant just state that. You gotta have specific laws and reasons to impose an embargo. Other countries have to have a legitimate reason for imposing an embargo. I have lived in a country where an embargo was imposed. It's not just "we hate these mofos lets embargo them"

Look at the reasons it failed. It's failure was based on factors that wouldn't have improved in seceding states' favor at this point in time.

Countries place embargoes (maybe moreso economic sanctions) all the time on countries, even for not breaking laws and the likes.

to embark on any endeavor, u have to first weigh the pros and cons. u brought up slavery as if that's a point strong enough to back up ur argument. u failed.

if ur the head of a state thinking of seceding, and u haven't weighed the pros and cons, you're an idiot. the cons most of these people have is towards the idea of a black man ruling the US. that is never under any circumstance worth dieing or even fighting for.
