I wonder if it would work kinda like the European Union for monetary purposes.
Personally I think some states would thrive because they are self sufficient to soem degree (TX, CA, FL and many others) while others would struggle and see mass exodus of people moving to other states for better jobs and so on but.
Others would have to make a lot of adjustments just to maintain their current financial standards.
A lot of states in the north wouldnt be able to sustain their large populations with current agriculture so they would be "importing" their produce depending on where they are getting it from.
And how do you divide the populations? Some people work in one state while living in another. Military personnel stationed inone state while being a resident of another. So on and so forth.
