All hatred for other states aside, how would seceding from the union work

I wonder if it would work kinda like the European Union for monetary purposes.

Personally I think some states would thrive because they are self sufficient to soem degree (TX, CA, FL and many others) while others would struggle and see mass exodus of people moving to other states for better jobs and so on but.

Others would have to make a lot of adjustments just to maintain their current financial standards.

A lot of states in the north wouldnt be able to sustain their large populations with current agriculture so they would be "importing" their produce depending on where they are getting it from.

And how do you divide the populations? Some people work in one state while living in another. Military personnel stationed inone state while being a resident of another. So on and so forth.

You say that because the idea is foreign to you. Many unions have been broken up before and succeeded and some failed but it's nothing new. Of course a lot of those were more in the form of colonies than unions but some were legitimate unions

i dont see this workin too good here, dont think itd turn red, to many transplants from elsewhere, to many people move durin certain months, unless they canceled certain sh!t completely wed have to work with other states...

lol. no one state can secede under any circumstance. and if they do against the order of the government, u can expect a military strike. at states just breaking away off of votes. sh1t, that woulda happened ages ago.

They would be embargoed by other countries across the world with the quickness. It would be financial death. No country that is in the UN would do business with them. And the countries that did would price their exports high and only accept their imports at a substandard rate.

Their only resort would be the countries that the republicans don't really fukk with: China and the likes. And China would bytch them as well because the seceding countries would be in too big of a financial strait for them not to be taken advantage of.

If I'm not mistaking, most of those red state live off federal funds. They'd be fukked.
