Who is this Chris Van Vliet dude? Is he another AEW thot :mjlol: like Double Talk?

Van Vliet is an entertainment reporter for FOX affiliate WSVN in Miami. He is also a professional wrestling fan, having worked as an announcer for Cleveland-based independent promotion Prime Wrestling, Blueprint Pro Wrestling in Deerfield Beach, Florida as well as several companies in Toronto. He frequently conducts interviews with professional wrestlers from national companies such as WWE, All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling for his popular YouTube channel.

Chris is good for the wrestling business and he's constantly putting out solid interviews on his YouTube channel. he's a wrestling fan first, but also a 2-time Emmy Award winner :wow:

On June 2, 2012 Van Vliet won two Emmy Awards for Best Host and Best Single Sports Story for his report on Gregory Iron, a professional wrestler from Cleveland who wrestles despite being born with cerebral palsy :ohhh:

Hopefully by the fall this ROH/NJPW deal with be over.

They should have Moxley show up on the first TV show with the NJPW U.S. belt and be like "fukk it, I'm the New Japan United States champion, I don't care if it doesn't say 'AEW' on it. I'm defending it here in the United States in All Elite Wrestling."

Kayfabe, AEW & NJPW can say this was the impetus for them working together in order to placate a loose cannon & top star that works for both companies.

AEW is going to need a secondary title anyway (and I think it should be some variation of U.S./North American/TV).

1) Hopefully NJPW sees the writing on the wall with ROH and lets the deal expire so they can partner with AEW.
2) A Television title defended every week would be a good secondary title

OT but how come WWE doesn't hold Chicago PPV's at the United Center? They've only held two shows in that building (Summerslam 94 and a house show in 2018) and the rest have been at the Allstate Arena.

Word is New Japan want nothing to do with AEW, and aren't even allowing the promotion to be mentioned by name on their broadcasts.

English announcers avoided mentioning AEW despite mentioning a lot of the talent involved, but Japanese announcers didn't avoid it at all.
