IIRC, there was an interview with the actress that plays Gretchen and she said the backstory is that they went to some party/bbq at her parent's house, she came from an affluent background so he was surrounded by all of these rich intelligent people, felt inferior and just left without saying a word, later selling his interest in the company.

Essentially Walt is an insecure bytch that complains about not getting credit and makes dumb decisions that later comes back to bite him in the ass.

flynn bytch ass worse than Jesse.

Dude just found out his pops was a drug lord, lied to him for the past year and a half, killed Hank, a man he respected more than Walt and saw Walt wrestle his mom to the floor.

Dude has reasons not to fukk with Walt and side with his mom.

How can you not root for Walt? (spoilers)

1. Remember, Skylar is the one who pushed for Jesse to be killed. Walt was against it.

2. At Skylar’s insistence, Walt sets up the hit that spirals out of control and leads to Hanks death. Walt willingly gave up $70 million dollars in an attempt to save Hanks life.

3. Most people are saying Walt was wrong for telling Jesse about the Jane incident. But remember, not only did Jesse’s behavior lead to Skylar wanting him dead… that also resulted in Hanks death and Walt losing $70 million. All of this was Jesse’s fault so Walt had every right to rub it in his face.

4. After carrying out a hit that Skylar wanted, Walt comes home and this bytch doesn’t even give him a chance to explain what happened. She flies into a bytchfit rage and pulls out a knife and starts cooperating with the police.

Walt didn’t want Jesse to die. Walt didn’t want Hank to die. Walt didn’t want to be in the business anymore.

He called her a bytch because she is a bytch and she deserved to be told.

And Walt voluntarily became a drug dealer, getting involved in a lifestyle that put him and his family in danger, rejecting assistance from people that would have taken care of everything.

Like how am I supposed to be angry at Marie? Because of Walt, her husband damn near got paralyzed at a strip mall and eventually gunned down. I'm supposed to her because she's angry at Walt? She's doing the exact same thing people were Skylar for not doing, riding for her husband, but because she's angry at the drug lord that had her husband damn near gunned down after leaving Home Depot to get a new power drill, she's a bytch?
