What do you think of my theory that Saul was a cartel lawyer and that's why he knew how to advise Walt ?

I think it's possible, and definitely makes a lot of sense, but you got one thing wrong.

His name isn't Miguel Goodman, it's Saul McGill. He's Irish.

Season 2, Episode 8 "Better Call Saul":

Saul: Mayhew. Is that Irish or English?

Walt: Irish.

Saul: Faith and begorrah! A fellow potato eater! My real name's McGill. The Jew thing I just do for the homeboys. They all want a pipe-hitting member of the tribe, so to speak.

Watching marathon now on tv and something tells me this goes higher than the cartel. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a bigger player in the game running things. the season premiere scene at dennys tells me Walt went rogue, and it's not the first time he purchased a weapon from that guy. maybe trying to battle an enemy he can't defeat. or for protection. I don't think it's to kill hank but could be wrong. the way his bosses were hesitant to believe his Gus theory makes me believe maybe they are trying to cover something up. the old white guy might be German for all I know, and what company is based in Germany? madrigal. I may be wrong and crazy but he might be involved. not unlike the us government to fund cartels anyways. in fact his last name is merkert which is German. so many details in this show it's hard to notice them all.
