I don't know about all that...

But I wouldn't be surprised considerding how NAIVE his followers were....

He was a true 10% bloodsucker of the poor.....whom played on Thier ignorance and desire for a "Messiah"

I knew his "hustle" very well because two good friends of mine joined his "movement"......

I knew it was a joke ...cause they STAYED BROKE... :mjpls:

While he lived like an Arabian prince

Only to run down south to Georgia and hustle people into thinking he was some sort of divine prophet

And it worked because he became a millionaire off of it.....

But dem Crakkkers didn't give a fukk

They locked his azz up

When he opened up that clandestine lodge in eatonton GA...

dem rednecks wasn't having it....

That Grand Lodge run law enforcement in Georgia ....he signed his death sentence with that move :mjpls:

Sounds like that Sweet Daddy Grace bullshyt. We have some very country extended cousins on my grandfather's side from South Carolina. Went to a family reunion some years back and they were talking about Sweet Daddy this and Sweet Daddy that. We didn't know what the hell they were talking about, just thought it was some country slang...until we saw a picture. This dude legit had a perm down to his back, long fingernails, wore a cape like Elvis, and drove around in a Cadillac. They thought he was a messiah or something.:mjlol:

Our people's ignorance has and continues to fill the pockets of others.

Actually I wanted to make a post(which is always the case) on this. It comes from Dr. ben but it has no source for the claim so I've never brought it up.
  • I have to go back to the library and take a picture of where he makes the claim
  • then go back and show where the claim comes from.
  • That's why I haven't made the post because I know folks are going to want proof of what I'm saying.
In a nut shell he claims the name "alkebu-lan" comes from Carthage(i don't know where yall getting this "came from kemet" stuff from) as their name for the continent. But when you look in the glossery for a source none is given. Not even a picture of a fragment that needs to be deciphered ...so it just ends up being an unsubstantiated claim he made. :yeshrug: Truth be told if he just came up with that name out the blue I wouldn't even mind. Just don't say it came from somewhere if you have no proof to back the claim up. Just say "alkebu-lan" is what i'm now calling the continent and leave it at that.:ehh:

Carthaginians spoke Phoenician, which was a Semitic language closely related to Hebrew. Unfortunately, outside of that, I don't have any familiarity with the language to know whether it's legit or not. I do know some Semitic languages share a characteristic of vowel exclusion once the language is written.

Everybody had the same name for the entire continent? Different people didn't have different names for the land they live in?

That's the part that makes it hard to process.

Africa is HUGE. No way they all agreed on a name for it. Some parts of Africa has to be totally unaware of others

If you consider that Bantus didn't even call themselves by that name(we still don't) till the European came and noted the linguistic similarities, what are the chances that all Africans had a name referring to all Africans as a single unit.
An Abaluhya from Kenya will still be shocked that he can understand some bits of Chichewa from Malawi today, that tells you all about Africans and the knowledge of their history.
