it tries to be tense and build up a sense of dread, but its too long and the actors can't carry it

the plot progressed in ways i did not expect -so i liked it more for that
not your typical sci fi flick
but for a mid budget step above syfy channel flick with CW action, its watchable.

Been a while since I saw a sci-fi film. I’ve had this film in my watch collection for months. I actually saw part of it around the time I got it, but stopped because I wasn’t in the mood.

It’s a pretty decent film. Nice visuals. Coulda had better writing to further the story, but it’s not hard to follow.

Finally watched Monsters of California. I’m interested in the stuff the movie covered, but this was a mess of a movie. The writing was bad and I found myself questioning much in the film. Trying to make it a comedy hurt the film; the dumbass Toe was a waste of space.

Since I’m a little biased, I will give it an okay rating if you like the topics covered in the film. Trying to blend in so many different supernatural/paranormal ideas was unnecessary and it shoulda focused on one.
