OP got what he wanted by putting "I was metooed" in quotes, as if Alicia said that, when in reality she didn't. She just described a situation where a famous photographer manipulated his way into a one on one photoshoot, leaving her team outside the room, and then told her to take photos she wasn't comfortable with. It's a common story for new entertainers that are still learning the ins and out of the industry. And this was in 2000, before there was a consciousness over if things like that are okay or "just the way it is."

If the thread would have been titled "Alicia Keys describes umcomfortable photoshoot in her early career that she learned from and made her stronger" it would have been more accurate, but probably wouldn't have got the wolves in here to shyt on her and be fake outraged over "me too gone to far".

Part of what made her uncomfortable was that her team weren't permitted inside for the shoot. She feels at that point in her life/career, her team would have spoken up for her where she was timid. It was a lesson she learned, that it wasn't just industry standard for her to have to have a one on one photoshoot without any manager or agent with her, or that she has to comply with what a celebrated male "make or break" figure wants. That's literally the point of her ancedote, that she learned from it, made a promise to herself, and tries to live by it.

A guy like Terry Richardson knows what he is doing when he seperates talent from their management.

And this is what I'm talking about. She had her own team and family around.. Professionals and regular people. Nobody knew what type of pics this guy took? The coli knows and we ain't even in the industry. The world knows this guys name and work and go to him for that. Then he says he needs people to leave. I get that you're young and you feel a way about it. You didn't speak up but you felt you had to do it and get through with it.

Afterwards you do millions of the same shoots. Even some within months.. Same poses and all. Then you don't speak on it until now. Don't even give him the benefit of leaving his name out of it. Just put him all up in it, like he wronged you, when he simply did what he was asked to do. He didn't try to touch you or get you to do something or even ask twice cause you had reservations.

In 2020, she knows good and well what this story would push onto this man. Just look in the thread. Following him around and taking pics now. Probably running up on him.
