Finished. My eyes are cooked. :wow: Liked it a just as much as the first season.

That ending tho... I already know it's gonna be divisive as fukk here.

Hadn't planned to finish so fast, but the mystery kept me hooked. About that ending.

I thought the meteor explanation worked really well and being on the border between life and death, until the final reveal of the Joker card at the end hinting at the games maybe not being over :jbhmm:. I guess it will depend on if they get renewed or not.

I was cool with the ending too
I haven't read the source material but I know it has a spinoff and sequel. I'd be interested in another season since it seemed like the Con man and Sunato Banda characters were set up to carry another series but I have a feeling that netflix wants to leave it alone.

Main thing I didn't like about this season is that except for the final one they lowkey gave Arisu and Usagi the least interesting games I'm also annoyed that one of their victories was due to thirst. Queen of spades had it in the bag but she was inexplicably so horny for Arisu :mindblown:

Clearly they gave Chishiya the ultra hard games because he was coasting last season :russ:

Yeah, Chishiya had all the cerebral games. Matched his personality well, probably the best side character for me outside of the main 2. I heard about the spin-off and sequels. Haven't seen the show in the Top 10 yet, but could be doing well in other countries. Who knows with Netflix.

Queen of Spades game was fun, it did seem like Usagi's pep talk was the turning point though. Wish we would have got more of Anne in a game :wow:.

Karate chick reuniting with her parents :mjcry:

First episode was a bit much for me. Felt like they forgot which series they were filming this one for.

Subtitle gang
:umad:

Just realized the broad with the locs is a youtuber I follow. I half expected for her to start clapping after she started talking.

I never say this, but this show probably needs 2 episodes to get going somewhere.

I like that they kept this to two seasons. Felt like a long movie.

Solid season

I felt there was a bit too much plot armour with the main characters this season.

My MVP of the season is Chishiya. I felt his two games carried the season, and I had no idea how each game would conclude.

I liked the meteorite twist and each character that survives having the choice to continue or not. I assume the con man and the murderer most likely become face cards and become game masters. I didn't like how Niragi survived because he didn't really seem to face justice, and I thought he would've chosen to stay because he seems like those guys that didn't mind game because he can do stuff he can't do in real life.

I am still curious about the joker card, but I interpreted it as the final game is life. Mira before she goes mentions that "life is a game, so enjoy it". I guess can also look at Joker card being a trickster in how it gave survivors an option to stay or leave. If a person chooses to stay in Borderland they remain in a coma, but with how time works they won't survive for much longer in real world. Then if you chose to leave it's up to the person how they want to live rest of their life.

Hopefully, they don't have another season because I think they gave it the right ending

I give this season a B
