Their other initiatives can be handled by other bills. As I already pointed out, the Republicans are not going add green initiatives to a bill as flawed as that one. Also, as AOC pointed out people love to scrutinize Dem initiatives but never do the same with GOP initiatives. Where is the money going to come from to pay for this 5.7B down payment for the Wall. GOP hasn't explained that at all.

Given that the GOP praised Trump pulling out of the Paris climate accords, there's no reason to believe that any green initiatives are being passed with that President and Congress. Also, even if Dems tried, Trump would certainly attached Wall funding to those initiatives as well. And you know it.

As I said before, if the Trump and GOP happily pulled out of the Paris Cimate Accord and deregulated the EPA to hell, then expecting a good green bill even partially is unlikely to happen. Plus isn't worth the political baggage to goes along with it. They can wait until 2020.
