I said that both the Progressives in congress and Rose Twitter have no plan.
I can't speak to twitter because I'm not on it but #Forcethevote was a plan. When defending heself against #Forcethevote AOC floated she might do something similar to fight for $15 minimum wage. There's another one she just didn't bother following thru on her previous words.
And again what do you think? Is that acceptable to have no strategic plan while in a Congress barely held by your party?

I am talking about Force The Vote.

You can't hold up a stimulus check to force a vote on medicare for all. It was stupid and dangerous.

When the defense bill comes up again, that would be the best moment, imo.

Yeah I hope so, not saying they got to do what Dore or any media person tells them to do but the longer they don't stand up to Democratic leadership the more people will criticize them. You can't run for Congress on some "All Democrats Are Not the Same" and then vote like a typical Democrat the entire time. The criticism is inevitable.

I agree with that. You have to use your power strategically. Some of the loonies on Rose Twitter and Jimmy Dore wanted them to use it to harm people when they needed money.

TBH, I don't have faith in any of these politicians to do what is right. What I've said is force them to do whats right by being active.

What leverage does the squad really have? let's be honest here.. their option is a lesser of two "evils" and that's not a both sides argument at all.. centrists are centrists.
Say they won't vote for something unless (insert demand). Other members of Congress do it and it works sometimes.

Force the vote isn't a plan it's a chance for people like Dore to laugh at her and say she's useless. The $15 minimum wage has been passed by the House before, it's the Senate that's the obstacle to that.

Isn't more the parliamentarian and the Senate insisting on following her advice stopping it in the Senate?
Quickest way to shut up Jimmy Dore types is to stand up to Democratic leadership. Something he thinks she will never do and something Cori Bush has admitted the Squad has never talked about doing in the future. Until then . . . :francis:

They don't have the votes for a $15 minimum wage in the Senate, the senators from West Virginia, Montana and Maine oversee very rural areas whose businesses will suffer for it.

At least dare them to vote no for a raise of minimum wage during a worldwide pandemic. It's good politics vs those out of line Senators.

The House already passed the $15 minimum wage, what will likely pass right now will be a bill to take it to 10/11 right now. Force the vote is a vanity campaign there is not the level of support needed for M4A.
