I had a professor have the same diagnosis. He was gone in less than 6 months. Cancer is bad, in general, but pancreatic cancer is one of the worst cancers to have. It has one of the lowest survival rates of any cancer :francis:

Stage 4 it usually starts.

By stage 3 that shyt spreads thru ur lymph nodes, lungs etc. By stage 4 it starts creating tumors close to other vital organs because it used ur blood vessels and transportation

If pancreatic cancer is caught early enough it can be removed however a lot of times a patient may not start having health issues until it's too late
My grandma passed from pancreatic cancer
By the time she started having issues the cancer spread to quick for the doctor to remove it because it had spread just about all over
While waiting for a few weeks before having the surgery to remove it, when the doctor did do it it was too late

Unfortunately, not a whole lot. It's mostly just bad luck and by the time you have symptoms it's usually advanced. :to:

The best you can probably do is not smoke and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and get tested on the reg if someone in your fam has had it, but even that will only reduce your chances.

Apart from not smoking, the American Cancer Society recommends keeping a healthy weight, and increasing consumption of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, while decreasing consumption of red and processed meat, although there is no consistent evidence this will prevent or reduce pancreatic cancer specifically.[58] A 2014 review of research concluded that there was evidence that consumption of citrus fruits and curcuminreduced risk of pancreatic cancer, while there was possibly a beneficial effect from whole grains, folate, selenium, and non-fried fish.[43]

In the general population, screening of large groups is not currently considered effective, although newer techniques, and the screening of tightly targeted groups, are being evaluated.[59][60] Nevertheless, regular screening with endoscopic ultrasound and MRI/CT imaging is recommended for those at high risk from inherited genetics.

pancreatic cancer damnitman...I watched it wipe out my Grandpa in a few months. The chances of beating it are extremely slim.He got bread though so he can get the best medical care. I wish him well.
