but it's true though. look at freddie....he looks fukkin terrible. he can't even keep his head up anymore. if dude really cared about manny like he said he'd step down and retire. he knows manny is too loyal to fire him so he's just chillin, enjoying these pay days. all these guys from arum to freddie don't give a damn about manny....they're gonna ride his coattails for as long as they can.

Don't think he wasn't inaccurate. I always thought Ariza was one of the more genuine people in Manny's corner as well as Michael Moorer who was in Pacquiao's corner vs Hatton/Cotto and actually teaching Manny some defense. I remember watching those 24/7 episodes and out of nowhere Koncz and Roach started to grill Ariza which I thought was kind of awkward considering how great Manny started to look.

Here's the thing, Freddie Roach is a strong trainer when it comes to teaching his boxers how to punch. Dude got exposed as a trainer and has been exposed in the past.

When Manny was in the pocket vs Floyd is when he had the most success, I'll even say that's the most uncomfortable I've ever seen Floyd in the pocket. Even Floyd said he was surprised how effective Manny is in the pocket. But when Floyd switched it up and found that using footwork was better for this instance, Manny and his corner should have told him to start cutting off the ring and force Floyd to try and find another answer. But we saw what happened, Manny just ended up trying to chase Mayweather. Any decent trainer would have prepared for Floyd to start running and work on technique to start cutting off the ring.

They honestly piggy-backed off of Manny's name and natural talent for the last 6 years. Manny could've been a beast with a different trainer the second half of his career.

It's not that simple. The human ego is a motherfukker. People are rarely able to look at themselves objectively. Freddie Roach probably still thinks he IS the best trainer for Manny.

People are mistaking "running" with fukking NOT GETTING HIT. Floyd's defense is truly a work of art

Quite a few times Manny had him trapped in the corner and Floyd let him come in only to make a fool out of himself. He gave Pernell Whitaker a run for his money on the corner defense. Manny hit nothing but air and shoulders.

freddie looks bad i saw him do the espn interview and he literally had his head on his shoulder, how the fuk is he able to hold mitts and take punches. i wonder what happened to michael moorer though.

Apparently it was because Michael Moorer was "too involved" as a trainer and Freddie Roach didn't like it. Which goes to further prove Ariza's point.

You look at Naazim Richardson and how vocal he is, but you can't forget he was assistant trainer to Bouie Fisher when they were in Bernard Hopkins' corner. Two trainers can definitely work. Freddie's ego couldn't handle someone else taking the spotlight, even if that meant his pupil would go to another level for everyone's benefit.
