So you're trading the excitement of kickoff returns for more probable late game possession retention (as in, teams more likely to convert that 4th & 15 than recover onside kicks).

I'm not in favor of it, but it isn't the worst idea I've heard.

Punts are WAAAAY more dangerous than kickoffs though. Crack backs, beheading the returner, etc. Sh!t is ridiculous now.

Personally, I've always wanted to eliminate the following in football

• Protecting QB's - You either protect everyone or noone at all If the man has pads on like the other 21 players on the field you should be able to hit him just like every other player on the field. We need 22 football players on the field. Not 21 football players + 1 QB
• Punts - You either make it or you don't. You fail to make 10 yard the other team takes over on downs. Period
• Field goals - The object of the game is to score touchdowns by crossing the goal line. Just because you failed to do so doesnt mean you get to salvage 3 points out of said drive.
• Point after - In what other sport do you score and then get the chance to add to it without any penalty involved? Thats like scoring a basket and then getting free throw even tho you werent fouled.

Yes you read this right. I pretty much phased out KICKERS out of the game. Yeah i know i'm pushing the envelop here but i've always wanted to completely eliminate the kickers out of football

Personally I love kickers. There ain't nothing more exciting...or heart breaking than the last play coming down to a kick. Now if you were to eliminate kickers and punters completely, your idea is the way to go

QB's need to be protected though.
I really hate when ppl say that that they should be treated like any other football player.

What other player on the team has dudes trying to kill him on EVERY SINGLE DOWN!!

defenses say this shut, but they are never the ones getting tackled. nor are they the ones having dudes take cheap shots on em or having ppl gang tackel them
