I would agree he's overrated (still good though), but he deserves credit for getting a great match out of Sullivan tonight :ehh:

Imagine CM Punk, but slightly bigger, silent and a more believable ass-kicker based on the crispness and execution of his strikes and offense.

That's what you get with Aleister Black. A cleaner, crisper, less talkative CM Punk.

TL;DR - He has a killer presentation and he does what he does as well as anyone. He's fine. More than.
so cm punk but without the things that made him great.

That botch was 100% his fault
I disagree with 100%. At the very least Sullivan could have did sometging other than fall down like he got hit. Also the positioning could have been on both of them

Tbh we dont know enough to know exactly what went wrong :yeshrug:

I might be crazy ... but I don't see how being crisper/cleaner at my job than the next man makes me worse off than the next man when we have the same job. :leostare:

But alright. :hubie:

The only thing CM Punk does considerably better than him was talk, and Punk was the best talker around for a minute. But the thing is ... CM Punk was overrated, too.

Anyway, I haven't seen enough to truly form an opinion on whether Black WRESTLES better but from what I've seen (you have to take storylines and adaptability into account, things Punk did very well) based on the commonalities ... Black is a considerably cleaner striker than Punk, hell Kyle O'Reilly is cleaner than Punk -- you might have to go to Japan to find a crisper one. Given that Black bases about 90 percent of his in-ring action on striking ... that's a huge deal.

I don't know about you, but I'd prefer wrestlers that consistently do the shyt they do without any hiccups and so on. You could count on a good match with Punk, but not necessarily a great/clean performance by him. Adds to the realism, sure, but I expect a top wrestler -- or someone who believes themselves to be such -- to be on point with his or her shyt. Part of that may have been due to him fighting hurt or whatever, who knows?

Punk was good. Very good, in fact. But if your in-ring style is based around striking, then that shyt needs to look fluid and it needs to flow. It does with Black. It did not look as fluid with Punk.
