Nastradamus - I've seen so many Nas stans try to say that it was a good/borderline classic album.
Murda Muzik - I'm not going to say that the album was wack, but it wasn't a classic either. You could slowly hear P's lyrical decline on that album.

Murda Muzik is a BANGER. There isn't one iota of force in the enjoyment of that record. Just because it isn't as good as the first two doesn't mean it ain't fresh. Think Midnight Marauders :sas2:

LOX We are the Streets. That Sheek freestyle is :scust: and that alone prevents it from being classic. On top of the stale ass beats that aged badly. Their stans will swear that it is better than Illmatic, Paid in Full, It Takes a Nation of Million to Hold us Back, Ready to Die, and 36 Chambers all on one.
Here we go with the fukk shyt :camby:

Sucks too because I always want to look back and say say that it's dope, but it's really not. It was hit at the time. The production just killed it. That shyt is unbearable to listen to minus a few songs. The rapping I still think is really solid though.

You know what's really weird about me? I'm only a casual Eminem fan and I utterly detest Kanye West but Relapse & Yeezus are BY FAR my favorite albums from those 2 guys.

I already knew Yeezus was gonna be mentioned but I'll say that in all honesty I'm a borderline Kanye stan and I did not force myself to like that album one bit, outside of On Sight which I still dislike but have grown to tolerate.

It ain't classic of groundbreaking. It can be your personal favorite, yeah, but it ain't top tier status in Hip Hop.
It's a solid album. It doesn't have to be classic or groundbreaking to be considered good.

What is it with you Coli nikkas that every album has to be classic or nothing? :what:

Its your personal classic, but the LOX dropped better mixtapes and better songs with more solid production.

But anoter thing people overrate by their stands is GRODT. Beats are stale as fukk and FIf's muttering is :smh: .

I'm fighting my Mobb stannery urges here. It sure as shyt isn't a classic, but it wasn't a decline either. It was just a style change. The style would change again pretty much from Infamy on out, and that was the one that really killed people.

My biggest :cape: for Murda Muzik is that the retail version got fukked by Napster's leak. Same with I Am by Nas. The OG versions of both of those albums were way better. The Murda Muzik that was supposed to drop (which you can find online BTW) is almost a good 1 mic better than whatever you think the retail is.

I didn't say it was wack, I just said it wasn't as good as the first two. I enjoyed some songs from that album.

The funniest is Nastradamus. The scariest is I..Am.

The former because....well, nastradamus, the latter because I think they may actually like that crap.

I Am at least had "Nas Is Like", which is a phenomenal out-of-the-world record. And "NY State of Mind 2" which was also fantastic.

Stanning for Yeezus makes no sense because there are NO hot joints on there.

GRODT I always maintain is a "classic" because of what it did for the game, the circumstances that it came out in, the fact that it created a legit mega star, and that it was really catchy. The best songs on it are really god, but a good third of the album is pretty average. It didn't hold up as well over the years, but I can't be too mad at people saying it's a classic. Music wise it isn't. Culturally in America, I'd say it was.

The bootleg with 'Thrill Me' and a few other joints. Yeah. That bootleg is in my hand as I type. The retail tacked on the Cease, Nas & Rae songs and at first sounded crazily different from the old vibe but I grew to love those 3 tracks in no time.

Murda Muzik absolutely goes.
