Thought I would be too to get this album at all, but I had genuine curiosity about it.

Listened to it when I was running errands earlier today, and actually kinda enjoyed it

Dude put legit care into it. It felt like a cohesive album - not just a playlist of singles that were recorded around the same time.

'Stop Trying To Be God' and 'Coffee Bean' were my favourites

Assembly line? So Who was before him then? Who else puts out projects that consistently sound like his? What wave did he hop on exactly?

Explain his earlier projects like Owl pharaoh & The Rodeos. Who was he biting? This is like his 6th project fam. Dude always had his own sound and stayed in his lane from day 1.. let him cook.

I liked the 90's Houston, Fat Pat, Screw, "like MAN", Three 6, Goodie Mob, etc etc references

Surprised how many reviewers and fans didn't catch the Goodie Mob sample.

And to add to that point about the samples and references, I find that a lot of people that don't like it are unfamiliar with what he's drawing from. I'm not a Travis stan by a long shot, but I do feel that I can better appreciate this project because I can understand this project. Either way, I really enjoy when an artist successfully pays homage and makes something new all at once.

That's the cell therapy beat, but lil keke flowed on the screwed version for like 8 mins.

he's somewhere on the spectrum between diddy & ye

Nah we good, i just needed some more clarity. I simply coudnt tell if you were misinformed or buggin so i dropped extra knowedge. Your initial assessment came off as harsh and lowkey slanderous... and dudes have been talking crazy since this album dropped.

Now Id say that is a much more fair criticism even though i would still respectfully disagree. It's understandable to think hes not quite in Ye's teir. But Ive seen him get busy in the studio, i'll say hes waay closer to Ye than Puff fxckin Daddy. He has legitimate composing chops Ye will tell you that himself. Also I think that his ability to recognize talent is one of his many skills, not just his only one. Dude is wild talented and I knew he had an album like this in him.

Heard the first track. I feel like it's going to be a bunch of good beats with him saying a bunch of nothing with autotune.

Like Future I'm sure Travis is an artist I can only take in small doses, i.e features. I like a lot of his features barely any of their own songs.

Travis was getting heat during his earlier years for biting not only cudi but sharking underground producers and no names and he snaked Chess completely cut his ass out

i remember they almost black balled him becuase of that especially when he went to SXSW this was like 2013ish
