I need to listen again but on first playthru I feel mixed. There are standout tracks but overall the project feels very same-y. From the flow to the abrasive delivery to the beats...it kinda just blends together.
It's not wack just...eh. I'm gonna listen a few more times before final verdict tho.

After a full week of listening, I'll say Nip did his thing. Best track to me is Young nikka, was wondering if Diddy was gonna have a verse but the adlibs were excellent as Nipsey laced it w vivid imagery.... damn. Millions While You Young is 2nd, followed by Blue Laces 2. Least favorite track beatwise is Hussle & Motivate and he still spitting real on it too.
Overall, a solid 4/5 for me.

It's a solid album, but I agree. I think this is because it's just a little bit too long. Needed to be 2-4 tracks shorter. But I'm not going to be picky, this is pretty damn good for a debut hip-hop album coming out on a major label in 2018.

Finally got around to listening in full during a drive last night, damn near had an epiphany while listening to "Double Up", that track is perfection. Only track I'm not really fukking with is the shyt with the Annie sample.

An album is more than the quality of the music, I think there’s other things involved. Sample limitations, Billboard considerations, promotion, label pressures etc. All of these things we’ve seen effect albums in a negative way, where they have little effect on a mixtape.
