4 mic album to me.
Can we agree that the 2 month long rollout was largely pointless and that signing to Atlantic was virtually pointless for this album because nothing was done to promote this album outside of his normal fans. The radio push is non-existant and the features weren't out of the ordinary. Plus, none of the songs are really radio-friendly outside of maybe the Kendrick record. The only terrestrial radio station that he's on the top 20 playlist is 92.3 in LA, and even there he's just #17 with 31 spins last week ("Last Time I Checced").
Atlantic didn't help him reach outside of the same niche fanbase he has always had and he didn't get any major looks for Allstar Weekend. Nothing was done that he couldn't have done already independent.
And yes, this discussion matters ever more with him because Nip's whole image & gimmick per se is his independence & business savvy. And Nip was my most played Spotify artist last year so this isn't from a place of "hate," just disappointment. We could've gotten a better version of this album 8 years ago.
