:dahell: The GOAT WR has to be someone who can put a team on his back and is worth Ws by themselves no matter the surrounding talent or coach.

Megatron
Fitz
Braylon Edwards
Marqise Lee
Crabtree (in college)
Etc.
Ima just assume you’re :flabbynsick:

Megatron had one dominant season which was his last that elevated his his stock

Crabtree played in a Leach offense and had Danny Amendola go for 1k too

Braylon had pro talent on his offense too, this is such revisionist history to bolster an argument

Marqise Lee arguably wasn’t even the best WR at USC when he played

If u really acting like a nikka who put up 1600 and 20 TDs along with every thing else he’s done is an argument than you’re just old and yelling at clouds

Smith is nice but you don’t have a case for GOAT when you literally had two other heisman candidates on your team. Not to mention Alabama is in the middle of arguably the greatest dynasty in history coached by arguably the best coach in history.
By this logic then Joe Burrow’s season last year wasn’t impressive

If y’all whole argument is “his team is good” then it’s not a football argument and just bad

Even add that he’s playing in the best conference in America it’s just foolish

Joe Burrorw had like 60 touchdowns and was far away the best player. LSU was “one QB away” for years because they always had an elite defense and weapons on offense. Bama has won big games with dudes like AJ McCarron and John Parker Wilson.

My point is that Alabama has a system (mostly Nick Sabin’s greatness) that allows their starters to blossom. Not denying he’s a great player I’m just saying Jaylen Waddle would have had the same season if he didn’t get hurt. :yeshrug:

Considering the previous 15 years of QB play at LSU......This shyt makes Zero sense :snoop:
Joe Brady one of the biggest offensive masterminds in the NFL

CEH, Jamar, Justin Jefferson and Terrace Marshall are all 1st round picks

jefferson had the greatest rookie season for a WR in his own right

just shut up holmes this convo not your speed

Lol how is it Nick Sagan’s system if he’s had different OCs and Systems throughout the entire dynasty? Why didn’t Cam Sims or Jerry Jeudy ever have the season Smith did?

Because every time his assistants leave they rarely have any long term success without Sabin. Pretty sure he’s undefeated against his former assistants. It’s the same with Bill Belichilk and the Patriots (yes obviously having Tom Brady helps).

desean Jackson is 5’10 175 and has been in the nfl for more than a decade
ty hilton is 5'10 180 has been in the nfl for almost a decade
cole beasley is 5'8 174 has been in the nfl for almost a decade
tyler lockett is 5'10 180 has been in the league for 6 years
marquise brown weighed in at the combine at 166 lbs (Brown said that by the end of his rookie season, he weighed just 157 pounds at 5’9)
Antonio Brown is 5’9 185 and without the CTE he was the best WR in the league for like 4 or 5 years

That has nothing to do with offensive play calling and systems, many great WRs have come to Bama and have not put up the numbers Smith did this year
