that's most likely what it is. went through this with my cousin a few years ago. mother was like pray for a miracle. father was like they say he's brain dead and only this machine is keeping him "alive" so he's dead. that went on for a few days before they finally pulled the plug.

Seems about right. Pops don't want his kid to suffer and mom is thinking with emotions. Terrible spot to be in as a parent.
I don't have medical background but I always interpreted "stable condition" as a positive, the reports surrounding this situation don't seem positive tho. The sister saying they're praying to the very end sounds like they need a miracle
