the media attention he gives to black issues....FI i dont necessarily care about al but im a picture thinker....i can look past the hustle and focus on the media coverage and support for black rights.....his show is big just because it keeps black at attention to issue....what im trying to say is...forget ...think about the bigger picture

The attention already was there. He just jumped on the bandwagon. And almost EVERY case that he got involved with ended in a flop. Jena 6, Duke Lacrosse, Trayvon Martin, Tawana Brawley, and the list goes on.

And you keep mentioning the bigger picture but Sharpton is not about the bigger picture. He's only about the now.

Black people who give attention to Black issues deserve ZERO praise, because we should do it by default as it benefits us as Black people.

Al Sharpton has the platform to give attention to Black issues and he does, that's what he's SUPPOSED to do. That does not negate the fact that Al Sharpton engaged in activities that directly harmed and the very group of people he stands up for today. He's probably motivated by guilt at this point seeing as how he was putting cocaine into Black communities since at LEAST 1983.
