Why?
This country was partly built upon the blood, sweat, tears and talent of African Americans. So much of American culture and world culture is African-American. Some of our greatest inventions, literary masterpieces, and other things are inherently from our black citizens. Add to the fact you have wise men such as Douglas, MLK, Malcolm X and Thurgood Marshall which are some of the greatest Americans who ever lived and contributed not only to the moral and legal progression of this country, but to the world as well.
You're going to let some racists and crackers keep you from a country that was built on the enslavement, degradation, exploitation, and sometimes killing of your people?
Shame.

We couldn't contribute to Africa as much as we could improve our lot in our own country. So while going back to Africa made sense in the late 20th century, it makes no sense to do so now.
