Very much disagree. Mifune's swordsmanship in this movie is amazing.
Dersu Uzala is Kurosawa's most underrated film in my opinion. In my personal top 10 all time.

It's not very exciting and the action scenes themselves are nothing completely special, its served better when its remembered as the blueprint for better action movies.
Dersu Uzala? It's not supposed to be an action movie
It's a true story about friendship between two people from completely different walks of life.
