Classic track but gangster rap been around since at least 1988

Dudes been banging on wax forever

Dipset has a way different sound but the way they rolled was also an influence

but as far as the sound that track is definitely an influence

still Chief Keef is the John Lennon of drill

coli false narrative, the younger drill rappers love that album and hold it in high regard for a reason.

nah I’ve heard it many places outside of thecoli...granted I don’t agree with it but the opinion is not limited to this forum

Them MBB's was running around the Towers even back then, Joffy and a few others brought all of them over to G-Unit, heavy Blood shyt all thru G-Unit still. I wonder if Joffy is still cool with 50 and them, he took bullets for bangin for 50.
50 was the first New York rapper i heard talking blood chit.

the hype around GRODT when it dropped was INSANE

I would rank it highly among the most anticipated hip hop albums of all time (maybe top 10)...if you was around when it did and at the age when you was able to go out and chill then YOU KNOW how huge this album drop was

that’d be an interesting thread topic

I don’t like making threads tho

Top 3 debut

Only other debut albums that had the same amount of anticipation was Doggystyle and Illmatic and I’d put the anticipation for 50 over Nas.

Nobody was more highly anticipated than Snoop though.

Still never seen nothing like it.

The obvious songs still hit
What Up Gangsta
Many Men
In da Club
Heat
21 Questions
Wanksta
U Not Like Me

At most you can throw in a couple more and that's still just half the album
