Amazing to see AJ be the same guy he's been his entire career, but now he just happens to be doing it in the WWE and these same group thinking sheep calling him a spot monkey for a decade and a half are now all on him, tryna sugar coat it with some "AJ stepped up his game :whoo:" or "ever since he left TNA :ohhh:"

Nope.

Dude is the same. Highlighted by the fact that he's giving some guys spots directly out of his playbook from the last 15 years.

That hung in the ropes kick to the floor spot from last night has been a staple in every Joe/AJ match since 2003.

Came a long way since his short hair, shaven face days at TNA:wow:
Came along way from that x division 4 way with Jerry Lynn :wow:

shyt I remember the first match I saw vs him and Low Ki in ROH

Styles in my top 5 dead or alive I remember a cac tried to argue with me at a ROH show saying he was all spots and how punk was better ...punk is great granted overall but AJ in the ring could end up being GOAT and surpass Eddie , Kurt , HBK etc

Dixie Carter lost:umad:
I always thought he would get a shot once Punk got his but :wow: they pushing all the right guys except Cesaro

Only wish my nig Christopher Daniels got his

This dude spent almost a year in WWE developmental. That's not what I meant when I said non-WWE established star.
Finn was actually in NXT for 2 years (reported to developmental on July 2014)

It's a shame he got injured, I was looking forward to you making a thread on him

Styles has been the same guy in the ring for pretty much his whole career, but as far as gimmicks, that couldn't be furthest from the truth. And Styles as mini-Flair may have been his worst incarnation, as you can tell he was totally uncomfortable playing a rich flashy flamboyant dude since that's not at all his natural style. He's definitely stepped his game up promo wise, cause he used to cut some pretty cringe-worthy promos up until his last lone wolf gimmick in TNA, and even then he wasn't doing much talking. That's why people were pretty ":whoa::whoa:" when he first was about to speak in the WWE, cause they thought they were about to hear some generic indie sounding stuff. I was shocked myself, and I've been following him since he was in J-Cup tournaments and wearing flight goggles in WCW.

According to most of everyone, Vince doesn't give af about NXT so that year in developmental is irrelevant. Finn Balor, essentially a nobody to Vince, winning the flagship shows title like 2 weeks after debuting compared to AJ Styles who's already a made man with a plethora of experience and known to Vince is more surprising to me bcus at least he knew what AJ was capable of and how he isn't lacking in any aspect.

Balors NXT title run was a snooze.
