WWE held a call with talent last Sunday regarding the reinvention of the product. During the call, it was said that WWE owns the real names of talent, not just their character names.
McMahon followed up by sending a letter on Thursday. McMahon wrote that it was imperative that they promote and protect the brand in every conceivable way, and that talent have 30 days to stop engaging with third parties.

I was actually surprised he let it go on for this long. I remember on the podcast Punk did with Colt Cabana, he said a bunch of sponsors approached him for endorsements but he had to turn it down because Cokeboy gave him the same spiel. Then literally a few months later, Brock returns and comes out wearing Jimmy Johns on his tights and Cokeboy is cool with it
Big E is probably the biggest loser in all of this. I read he made somewhere like $60k just off Cameo. It's pretty ridiculous these INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS can't venture off on their own to make money.
