regardless if it's a legit injury or not, their schedule during the final 4-6 weeks before WrestleMania every year should be televised events ONLY. it would give all the talent and road crew a nice 4-6 week break with only having to work 1 show per week, but more importantly it would limit the possibility of last minute injuries happening before the biggest show of the year.
Since Alicia Fox got injured two days before the rumble. I've believed they should limit the house show schedule around the big 4. Mania especially should have them wrestling as little as possible, like you said.

Fox just got hurt rehearsing for the Rumble itself, though

Ahhh I never knew that.
Yeah that was a different situation but I agree with your point nevertheless. Should be minimizing risks around big show schedules, and of course they should all work less than they do in general but we know WWE has to oversaturate and try to get every dime they can.

who could believe someone that has this much swagger, looks and talent in the ring is relegated to just being a chaser that always loses when it matters the most. Straight up wasting her prime

I agree but they're really stuck in their ways in terms of house shows. They still make them fly to Europe for 2 weeks every April and November despite all the injuries that incur from them.

As much flack as Orton gets.....I went to a Smackdown house show that had Orton vs Jinder as the main event. I know it’s hard to believe.....but it was actually a great match! Then afterwards Orton shook hands n took pics with fans 20 mins after the match.
I scanned this quick and read “fans 20 mins after” as “20 fans after” and figured that was about right for attendance for an Orton headlined show in 2018.
