'He's different': Brockton's AJ Dybantsa reminds ex-NBA coach of this basketball legend
Brockton's AJ Dybantsa played in Massachusetts for the final time in high school career on Sunday. Hear what his new Utah Prep coach, former NCAA and NBA player and coach Keith Smart, has seen from him now, and in the past.

“The player he reminded me of the most is that guy, who, I’m sorry he passed away, Kobe Bryant," Smart said of Dybantsa. "The things he does, the herky-jerky game, the long strides, the change of direction. Granted, he lost a few balls tonight (vs. Montverde Academy)," Smart said. "He’ll make a play and be stronger with that. Like Kobe said, ‘I’ll shoot five airballs in a row, six airballs in a row. And what I’ll do now is, get stronger. I did a report when he was a freshman. I said, 'When our time comes, this is a guy we’ve got to recruit,'" Smart said. "He was probably a top-three guy in the top 100 (players in the country). I get (to Utah Prep) and I see it. What I had on my computer, I showed him. I said he had the instinct of guy like, God rest his soul, like Kobe."
