Will AIPAC win?

We're talking about a foreign power here. Is this really the system we want to live under? Should we refrain from criticizing Russia or China? Would we accept this level of interference from them?

Yes and yes is the impression that I've been under and I've frequented this forum and similar spaces for a fairly significant amount of time

Yes you do when it's a racist jurisdiction with a racist opponent
So racist they elected him when he was being a good candidate, talking about local issues, and not a clout demon?

Y’all gotta stop making excuses for these politicians who aren’t delivering for their constituency.

Or maybe yall convinced blacks and progressives not to vote and you’re losing everything trying to play 4d chess :bryan:

And why Bowman even falling for the trap trying to thread the needle?

This isn't a thesis defense. Keep it simple. Say you support a ceasefire, you're opposed to antisemitism, and focus on what you're trying to do to help your constituency at home.
I tried to tell yall contrarian know it alls :francis:

plenty of politicians criticize israel, and remain in power

as you've been told, there's a large portion of americans that actually support israel over the radical islamic terrorists of Hamas. and it looks like bowman's district contained over 50 percent of them :yeshrug:

unfortunately for him, they also support repaving their streets

He lost cuz he's a goofy who thought that Jew/Palestine stuff wasn't gonna be that important in his district. He's in Westchester County. Lots of Jews there. The BX couldn't save him; in fact, they hurt him by not turning out, which is what BX County does during primaries.

He's not Espaillat or Torres level bulletproof. Even AOC who's district is more in Queens had it easy (and will steamroll Forte if she's dumb enough to run again).

Latimer's gonna be around thanks to Cuomo's gerrymandering for a while. The other 3 should be entrenched.

He’s not a goofy. Just because you don’t personally care about those issues doesn’t mean someone who does is a goofy. You can say it’s not the best strategy while not acting like having a moral compass makes someone a goofy. Bowman was literally pro-Israel as fukk until 2021 when he visited and saw the conditions of Palestinians and had a change of heart. I’m not calling someone a goofy for speaking their conscience. Gerrymandering did him and his stance on those issues for sure but it is, what it is. It’s not the first progressive seat Cuomo gerrymandered away.

Man shut your bytch ass up. @Pressure you look more disingenuous every time you co-sign this right wing cac who doesn’t know a thing about New York. If anyone on here deserves to get punched in the face it’s this dude.

Israel spent 15mm on this race, to ensure he lost. We literally have a foreign country deciding local races and you justifying issues that have nothing to do with the district. It's because you a racist pos, clown shyt

I'm not saying he's a goofy because of Israel/Palestine. I'm saying he's a goofy because he is regardless of that.

You have to stop running your mouth when you don’t know what you’re talking about because it fits your pro-Dem over anything agenda. Cuomo gerrymandered the state - the district that elected him isn’t the same district he is in right now. The map was drawn to be corrosive to progressive power by Cuomo’s party - the same Cuomo who did everything to empower Republicans and right wing Dems as governor. You literally had a situation where two black progressives from different districts found themselves competing for the same seat two years ago. Bowman’s district is now heavily Jewish and is not as dependent on the Bronx as it was before. In other words, his safe isn’t as safe as the other “squad” members. He was always the one who should’ve been using this rhetoric the least. Add into the fact that the Bronx didn’t turn out to vote at all, it was basically him trying to win an election with an energized by AIPAC disproportionately Jewish voting base. Bowman was highly pro-Israel when first elected and then visited Gaza back in 2021 and came back saying this is wrong. The dude spoke his conscience, and lost on that but I’m not mad at it - just like I wasn’t mad at the people who lost their seats for voting for Obamacare in 2010.
