Saw it last night. Its very slow paced at times. 5 or 6 people walked out the theatre.
Its starts real good tho, a lot of dialogue...plot is nothing to brag about. I kinda liked it but would recommend it as a redbox. Violent and funny but may be too slow for most..great acting tho.

Its not garbage but u cant expect some gangster epic. Its about low grade thugs in the back drop of the economic collapse. People see liotta, gandalfini, pitt and think its some goodfelllas type movie but its not. Its a good red box but for some people itll be right up their alley. Good direction, acting..story tho is meh.

Yea the trailer makes it seem more action packed .i liked the movie And brad Pitt in it but some people will feel mislead . That ending
That trailer though where they discuss heroes and and make it seem like Pitt is a antihero is completely misleading whoever approved that to play during football games is a jerk

The first 30 mins or so i was thinking this can be great but when the slow pacing began u kinda feel cheated. Soundtrack was coo, noticed that song 3 card molly sampled, never heard that original before. Great direction, its still an interesting movie just not what many will expect.
It's a proper throwback to the hard edged, slow burn crime films of the 70s. People complaining about the pace need to sit the fukk down and stick on Transformers or take some meds for ADD.
Only complaint would be the recession theme is a bit too on the nose. It's a nice idea but it feels like they're shoving the theme down your throat with the endless Bush and Obama speeches.
You could also say it's a little too straight forward, but that's the appeal for me. It's very nuts and bolts........in a good way. Dominik understand what makes a crime film work and he pulls it off effortlessly.
And Ray Liotta took one of the harshest beatdowns I've seen in a film
And I thought Gandolfini stole the show. Best he's been since playing Tony. He even resurrected his dressing gown swag
