He has an overall druggie vibe/sensibility that doesn't lend itself to expansion. But when it's good it's classic material. Jimmy Dean, Max B, Pharsyde, Better Things. L$D was song of the year until he took excuse me out and made it into it's own record. Even though Kanye's verse was kinda dope for what he was going for, Jukebox Joints would've been classic if he had taken Kanye out and just rapped to the end like Kanye did.
From flow, cadence, to overall sound, his style is like wearing black on black; you gotta punch the style up with different textures or else it falls flat. Hope he learns that lesson on his next joint.
