Quiet as kept, and the first response to this post hints at it, some of "the both sides"sentiment expressed on this board is from people who just don't want to see Kamala in the White House.
I agree. But in SOME of these kats defense if they are black and thats a big IF. Even if Kamala was a black man she still would get backlash. Especially in this social climate.
If Obama ran in 2008 and was a former prosecutor he would have faced backlash from black folks. Black folks are not crazy about tough on crime folks especially after the 94 crime bill.
Now bringing it all back. IF (I say if cause you know them repubs some dirty crooks who try to steal elections) the dems win the presidency they need to not thank black folks, white women or independents. They need to thank mother nature for covid and them folks for coming out in protests and civil unrest.
Cause when you look at the stats with Eligible voters the difference between trump and biden is the handling of covid and race relations. Thats the big difference between voters for trump and biden when you take race out the equation.
Finally if biden and kamala win they better hit the ground running. Cause the left ain't gonna be in love and all happy cause of history. Ain't gonna be people ignoring issues and wanting to buy magazines and newspapers with the first lady and the kids on the front page/cover. Or folks wanting to wait in line to get some magazine with the VP and her spouse on the cover. The left and especially black folks aren't gonna be blinded by euphoria and happiness like 2008. Especially after the dems ran on vote for use to get trump out.
So no matter what these next 4 years gonna be a rough ride and maybe the next 4 to 6 years too.
