I’m not learning it to switch careers. I’m learning it to build a business and generate passive income.

I wouldn’t want to work for a tech company anyway. US based software engineers are overpaid compared to a lot of countries. And AI is got to be added on top of the outsourcing companies already do.

But it’s still good to learn regardless.

I have an idea. But I don’t think some of the tech needed for it to run the way I want exists or is readily available. Maybe it is. I initially started learning JavaScript, I know enough to be an entry level developer, but I moved on to Python.

Nah, I’m done with manual labor. I paid my dues with that. I wanted to go into car detailing, but that just wasn’t for me.

And that shyt not consistent. If I was trying to be a W2 or even a 1099 type of person going forward, I would consider it.

But thats just not in me no more. I’ve been saving money like crazy since COVID first hit and I had to layoff a lot of people. In addition to other jobs I’ve had in the past, I realized, when you work for a company, you can get let go at any time for any reason. And everything you get hired, you’re literally putting your life in the hands of other people.
