The flashbacks on parent hood was corny as fukk too. I hated that shyt. I hated that dude to begin with. He was so fukking sweet. Does anyone remember that episode where the youngest son's white friend gets abducted? That was a creepy ass episode. Family Matters was cool. I always liked it. Still can't believe Carl was a fakkit
People like to hate on Family Matters and Urkel, but I have to say Jaleel White was probably one of the best child actors on tv at the time. Dude disappeared into the role, and came up with the iconic voice, walk, mannerisms.etc all at that young of age. I remember when I first saw him out of the character I was like

I am sick and fukkin' TIRED of you nikkas on the coli acting like Family Matters was one of the WOAT sitcoms. It WASN'T. Seriously, shut the fukk up with that shyt.
OK, so the humor between Carl/Harriette wasn't great, and the show definitely fell off when they relied too heavily on Urkel's inventions; I'll give you that. But the majority of the characters were funny and the show had many memorable moments. Urkel was funny (when he wasn't annoying with his catchphrases or predictably breaking shyt up). Eddie had funny moments/lines. Waldo is one of the GOAT black sitcom characters, and if you didn't laugh when he fast-danced with Laura to that slow song that one time, then you don't know what the hell 'funny' is. Weasel, Lt. Murtagh.....man, I could go on and on.....that show even had some of the GOAT side/minor characters. And some of the finest bytches, too....not just Myra, but a lot of one-time female characters was lookin' good as hell on that show
For fukk's sake, it's even one of the rare black sitcoms that show cacs actually cacin'.....for that ALONE I'd figure it would get more love on here.....look at Mr. Looney, their neighbor Nick (probably one of the GOAT portrayals of a jackass cac in any sitcom), Lt. Murtagh, Carl's other old white boss in the later seasons, that white nerd who blew up the science lab and tried to frame Steve, the white bytch cheerleader who used to fukk with Laura for no reason, the fakkit airline worker who looked like Carrot Top.....
That show had a bit of everything, and it's a CLASSIC so fukk Y'ALL
Meanwhile you have some of these clowns acting like shyt shows like 'My Brother and Me' was classic. Wasn't shyt good about that show except Goo, and he wasn't even all that great
I even see Parent Hood gettin' more love than Family Matters....fake-ass Cosby show but without the classic moments and humor.....now THAT show was terrible and had some bad acting (not to mention the worst lame-ass black son in TV history....was so bad they had to replace him with TK who was FAR more interesting as a character). If it wasn't for Robert's daydreams I'd call that show 100% shyt
