Just got finished watching this. This video basically sums up what I always thought of them, probably one of the bigger scams in history. I'd be curious of those who are pro-NFT to take this video apart. Tell me specifically where you disagree with him and why. This will collapse one day, somebody is going to be left holding something worthless. It's like a game of hot potato.

What part of nfts are a scam to you? And what's your defenition of a scam.

This video is mostly about NFTs in video games. Even I'm anti NFTs in video games, but for art, photography, music I'm pro nft

You said but for art, except it went over that as well, literally saying NFT art and using Bored Apes as an example. So tell me specifically the part of the video where he’s talking about art that you disagree with.

I can get it if you buy at x and can find a bigger sucker that will buy for more than x and you make some profit. Most probably won’t but other than that?

Agreed. But, people won't even invest long term. It's not "sexy".

I run crypto bots. I use the same investment strategy that I use for my SPX iron condor profits. I take half the profits and invest long term.. I just started my brother's account that he started with 1K. I'm going to run a daily diary for it if everyone wants to follow.

Do bots complicate the tax situation?

Couple things, why is someone a sucker for buying art at a more detailed expensive price ? Also is this you thinking NFTs don't increase in value? And as I said before alot of the nft argument highlights apes but majority of nfts are not even pfps let alone apes

.he says NFTs are a digital flex as if all NFTs are expensive. Smh

It's a great video describing how NFTs are being used in current state today

But at the same time it completely ignores the potential. It's dumb to completely write off an entire new technology just because a lot of the early stage iterations are cheap cash grabs

Like the gaming example. Yes the way games are developed today.. the tech is not there yet to allow you to take your digital assets with you across other games or metaverses. 5 years from now? Will be a much much different story once companies figure out interoperability

Video probably won't age well in a couple years

Just takes some vision to look beyond the current craze and hype

Exactly.

Like I said I remember when people were downplaying the internet in the 90s.

I remember when people were downplaying blurays.

Shut I remember people downplaying HD TVS and calling them a scam

But this ability/technology has almost nothing to do with NFT's/blockchain

Thats why people call it crypto/NFTs a scam. Cuz they're selling you stuff today and claiming it will be very important in the future. But that future will probably never exist.

Why are NFT's useful?
Cuz one day if video game companies work together you can own digital property and move your stuff from one game to a different game.

Why would video game companies ever want to work together like that?
So they can sell NFT's.

Thats called circular logic
