After watching Deadpool I’ve come to the conclusion that nostalgia is the only way a Superhero movie can be successful

This isn’t even a knock on Marvel its every company. Rehash after rehash

With that being said how come new superhero’s aren’t being created for the newer generation? Blade, Gambit that’s who we grew up on. It’s only so many times Batman and all them other fools can be recreated.

Would modern society even accept a newly created Superhero with no past history?

No. And for good reason.

Disagree. The template for great super hero movies could be anime. It can get formulaic, but that's what draws people in; familiarity with variation. Not just member berries and call backs.

Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, My Hero, Naruto, DBZ, etc.

They all have the same hero's journey formula with variations that make each interesting.

The new Deadpool is popular because its about as comic book accurate as you can get. The fourth wall breaks are well used without breaking the entire narrative. The gratuitous violence is sparingly used. The comedic timing is unique to the film instead of the derivative Guardians Of The Galaxy shyt that infected every film post-endgame

100% untrue- if that were true, explain the success of Marvel movies before End Game- even the shytty movies were successful financially. The way to make comic movies successful is, having the audience care about the character and/or the plot.

Nostalgia is ONE way to achieve this but not the only way

Because the MCU filled a void

There was no larger universe of heroes that was out there and done well. We had a couple shytty attempts but nothing near the MCU.

It was printing money because everybody was invested in the universe. We were all in even on the obscure shyt characters like Shang Chi. Now we are here and simply being a part of the larger MCU isn’t enough of a draw to carry movies anymore (ex The Marvels)

So now they need to reinvent the entire thing. Which is probably why they plan to reboot everything after this next phase. They know it’s getting stale.
