After watching Bron in the Playoffs which current NBA stars will still be elite in their 30s?

Bron as elite basketball IQ which trumps his athleticism (he may still be the strongest player in the league, if not he's top 3)

But Curry's and Durants game is going to age well too.

Other than him I look at guys like Towns, AD and Giannis who at younger than 25 have had seasons that rival the best seasons of all time greats already. Theyll be around for a long time

I just can't jump on the KAT , AD, Giannis train.

Everyone talks about thier great season but they just don't seem trancendent.

Talented YES but I don't see the threat of them being dominate.

By Bron and Wades third year they were leading teams deep in the playoffs and challenging the dominant teams.

Kobe was coming to his own and on his was to winning chips.

KD, Russy, and Harden was leading OKC to the finals by thier 4th or 5th season in a stacked west.

None of these young dudes strike me as serious threats to anybody.:yeshrug:

I can agree with this too. Giannis is the only guy of the 3 mentioned to make it to a 2nd round I think. Hes missing a halfcourt game and thats a major thing not to have. Still, I think he'll continue to improve. AD now has boogie and I think theyll make deep runs together sooner rather than later so I think his time is coming. KAT hasnt understood the value of dominating the paint and defense, but hes basically a 2017 remix of a young KG, hes gonna take some time. I think the main difference though is the way NBA teams are ran, Bron and Wade played in a era where teams tanked only for a year or so then reupped with decent vets. Now for you to grab decent talent now you have to pay career journeymen 20+ mil.

Funny enough the only truly transcendent talent of the young stars in your definition of is probably Embiid, but he hasnt been healthy. He made the worst team in the league last year look like a playoff team.

His strength is actually overrated (see when he has to defend a legit strong player in the post). Now if we are talking perimeter players then you might have something. His combination of strength, quickness and speed along with his IQ and durability is truly insane.

Stephen curry. His skills aren't that reliant on athleticism like a Westbrook or a Wall.

Durant is kind of :ld: when it comes to his health.

This Bron shyt is just weird. The way he goes from being a shyt 3 point shooter one season to being sick with it another. This dude is the most unique athlete I've seen in any sport.

I'm not sure about Steph, feel like Klay will have a longer peak. Hard to see Steph in a Ray Allen on the Heat role.

Realistically it'll be Durant. He might be playing better basketball at 30+ than in his 20's because his team is so stacked now.

Durant won't be able to stay healthy

How many times has he been injured so far ?
