That happens every year though...the Oscars are strictly political anyway...if you don't campaign for the Oscar, you won't win..Mike Fassbender and Joquin Phoenix both made a big controversy about this part of the Oscars recently, saying how they hate the Academy Award process of "campaigning" for the oscars and that they refuse to do it

Lupita had a massive push in the media so it was pretty much a given that she was gonna win that Oscar.

Yeah and the oscars are bogus. Every movie has supporting actors who have just as much screen time as the star. This shyt has become a popularity contest. Ol girl was cool in the movie but that wasn't no fukking great performance.

It wasn't and as a 30 year old man rooting for the sister I can say that. There were 2 or 3 other actors in the movie who deserved it over her.

She did well and she got the Oscar...geez. If you got a problem with the process, join the club but it is what it is at this point. If you want it to change, join SAG, star in a couple flicks, and hope the academy invites you to join and you become a member and change the process. We all know it's political. We all know it's a campaign, we all know that not everyone will be happy with who wins.
