After turning 30 something yah boy has decided to enlist in The US Air Force

none of it matters besides you are joining the AF not the navy. All assessment based groups within the military want people who are willing to risk it all to be a member but whom also have the ability to critically think...you have no idea what it is you want to do yet so I damn sure wouldn’t bring up special tactics or forces.

stuff sounds good on paper but in reality the special thing about special forces is the multiple ways you can deliver them to the fight.

Could I still qualify for special forces regardless of my age? Thats all I want to know. I would be 100% dedicated but they wouldn't give me a chance. I can accept me failing but come on. Who walks in and says I want to be a seal or special forces? ME!

Air Force boot camp is easy
Tech school is what sucks for someone in their 30s
Make sure you get the right job

They just said nah...

if the regular assessment says no I can't almost guarantee that an age waiver is out there for you for assessment...I don't consider nothing in the AF really special forces. It's special mission. I love my JTACS/TACPs and Combat Weather but honestly those are just Airman pushed further ahead with Army and Marines occasionally....You will rarely see PJs, and Seers.

I was 323 Training Squadron, Vipers.

Fly, Fight, and Win in Air, Space, and Cyber Space.

Make sure you can pass your PT requirements before you ship.

Surprisingly the food was decent at boot camp, but you get 10 minutes to eat it
