I'm from America and I doubt it gets much whiter than me. Skin color first evolved out of climate necessity but its not really as necessary anymore because we can survive. Now its down to breeding. I agree. I think that if you can eliminate racism we'd eventually all become the same color. But there are some people who will be "pure bloods" out of choice or pure esthetic preference.
