yeap the label shipped 500,000 records meaning stores like best buy,target,wal-mart,fye,and retail stores bought 500,000 to sale to the public and thats what makes it certifed gold and when he sales 75 more albums today probably in the next hour and it will be official that 500,000 people went out and bought the album
It's about the same as he's always sold. Neither a rousing success nor a flopping failure, he'll go Gold which is VERY good in this climate and he should be proud and consider it an accomplishment
It all depends on how much they spent making and promoting the album.
